The BEST Starbucks in Johnson County! Great atmosphere ( not too loud, can always get work done or have a relaxing chat with a friend), friendliest staff and best of all they consistently make the most terrific coffee drinks. I always choose to go this Starbucks whenever possible no other compares!!

Very friendly staff! I can be away for weeks and when I walk in they remember my drink and my name. The store is always clean even though it is a very busy place. They have Google internet now!! Yay!

They do it up right at this Starbucks location. Even if there's a line it goes quickly and the baristas are very nice. Always a great experience here!

Contrary to the mediocre reviews of this location, I am completely satisfied with this Starbucks. They experience quite the morning rush, yet remain quick and efficient. Even if the line is long, you don't have to wait long. The baristas are friendly and know many regulars by their first names. As far as I'm concerned, this Starbucks is fine!

I know, I know, I should be supporting local coffee shops, but the temptation is difficult when Starbucks has consistent high-quality coffee and now free Wi-Fi. This South Overland Park location has the typical Starbucks fare of coffee/tea drinks and pastries. The interior is not large, and only holds seating for about a dozen people. However, I recently visited on a Friday afternoon, and the coffeeshop was relatively empty. As another Yelper noted, the parking lot is not large (parking is especially sparse late at night due to the Tanner's crowd), and you will also need to make an inconvenient quick left turn after entering the strip mall from 119th or painfully drive around the parking lot to reach the coffee shop.

This Starbucks is the best! They remember everyone who is a regular here and most often you don't even need to speak which is a blessing first thing in the AM. I can't rate them highly enough.

Good Starbucks, service is always fast, and it's a little roomier than some others in the chain. Product is the same as every other S'bux. No drive thru, but there's a pleasant patio to enjoy your caffeine al fresco.

This Starbucks deserves a negative star. This is the worst customer service experience Starbucks I have ever been to. They took 10 mins to make out drinks, messed up on it, and did not make us another one. I asked to speak with the manager, but she was unavailable... While I could clearly see her walking her dog outside of the store. You would think: never in your live see something like this, believe me, I was in shock. After six customers who ordered after us received their drinks, we still had not received ours. We went ahead and asked for a refund. Not once did they apologize. A simple sorry would suffice, but not even one. Will never return to this Starbucks.

Very friendly staff. They have fast service. No drive through. All the products are same as any other Starbucks. But overall I was happy with the staff.

The 3-star is not about the drink - my latte was made great and quickly. It was the fact that the barista was on the phone, having a personal conversation, with ostensibly an old colleague, for about 10 minutes. It wasn't loud enough to be overbearing, but the fact that it even occurred is totally odd. I understand that a coffeehouse environment isn't an office environment, but is it normal for employees to carry on personal conversations while customers are being waited on? Perhaps I'm just too old-fashioned.

Some great staff members, the coffee is consistent as is the atmosphere. Some better local choices close by but for convenience, it'll suffice.

This Starbucks in a word is "efficient". I've seen this location's staff handle a morning rush without breaking a sweat. The customers, who I assume are regulars, know what they want and don't ask questions. They know the drill. Order your drink and move to the right. There's plenty of parking in this strip mall that contains stores that usually aren't open when I visit. The staff is fast and friendly. Winter, the Starbucks crazed subject of a documentary, has visited this location. I'd recommend this movie: starbuckingmovie.com

I have lived in this neighborhood over 18 years and have come to this Starbucks ever since it opened (to prove it, the location was a video store years ago!). My visits are almost daily, so I know all of the staff. In reviewing the other comments, I can honestly say the negative comments about "they really don't understand how a Gold Card works" and the female manager being unavailable because she was walking her dog are inaccurate, at least at this location. I've had a Gold Card since when you purchased one, and I have never had a problem getting refills for qualifying drinks on same visits. Also, the only female manager at this store was years ago (before the comment dated 2012). The staff is fast, friendly, and items are made accurately to your order. They take the time to get to know you, and work hard in trying to remember your favorite drinks and food purchases. There have been times when an employee is new or from the pool of traveling baristas (they substitute when staffing is down and there are not enough to cover all shifts), but the permanent staff works hard to work together with these employees to make sure they're up to speed. I travel frequently worldwide, and have visited Starbucks in many locations. I believe this Starbucks is one of the best I've been to, hence my reason for giving them 5 stars.

This is a pretty nice sit down Starbucks. They have nice oversized leather chairs, free wifi and strange music. The interior is comfy and clean. I like to come here before hitting up 888 to study or work. They really don't understand how the Starbucks Gold Card works though. For those of you who haven't used one, you purchase any coffee or espresso drink and then you get free refills of regular/decaf coffee while you're there. They didn't want to give us our free coffee on one of our beverages today & when confronted about the error the said that they just weren't sure about the rules... They could use a quick trip out to their corporate site for a brush up on what they offer as store. I will be back again despite their lack of knowledge on their gold card program and I may bring them a copy of their own rules and regulations page next time I visit.

Regular ole Starbucks experience here, pretty much what you'd get at any of their 300,000,000 locations. The staff is friendly enough. Now for a story: Some years back, there was a locally owned coffee shop named the Grape Leaf that was about 700 feet from the front door of this Starbucks location. Grape Leaf was a very hip (for the suburbs), local shop with one or two colorful baristas. They imported a variety of beans from South America and elsewhere and had some great locally made pastries. It was a regular stop pretty much every weekday for years on my way to work. The folks in there knew your name, what you were going to order and were always smiling, and glad to see you. Starbucks moved into this location and within a few months, the old coffee shop had shut its doors. Many of us still miss that place. I wonder if Starbucks has done this to any other local coffee shops ? hmmmmm . . . .. End of story.
